Cars That Run on Water - How Does It Work?
Over the years there have been many attempts made by vehicle manufacturers to produce working and viable cars that run on water. Usually these cars have been made using a hydrogen based fuel system which is obtained be deconstructing the water into oxygen and hydrogen. Water it self is not a combustible material. Therefore, other ways have to be found to turn it into a gaseous state in order to make the engine run right.
While they have moved forward quite successfully in the process of using water as a fuel base, when they first started it was a hit and miss operation. It was usually a waste of essential energy to turn the water into hydrogen in the first dim years of the technology. While they were able to use water as a fuel, it was costing more energy to get the process underway than it was capable of putting out to use for the engine. This dynamic waste of energy needed to be overcome quickly if a water fuel system could ever become a reality.
Many people tried using different ways of making cars that run on water. Most of those were frauds seeking to rip off investors,resulting in turning the whole idea of water as a fuel source into a scam in the eyes of most people. One of these was the ever popular gas pill that supposedly turned the water trapped in a gas tank into fuel that the engine could actually run on. However ,most of the time, the pill did nothing with the rare exception of the ones that used boron to create a chemical reaction that turned the water into a light for of hydrogen that could be burned with the gasoline in the process.
Using cars that run on water would be one of those momentous things in history that would rival even the building of the great pyramids in Egypt. Being able to be completely free from the use of fossil fuels and foreign governments for our transportation needs would definitely be one of mankind’s greatest achievements. However, we seem to still be a few steps behind in the technological department to make this out come feasible at this time. While science and inventors around the world are working over time to solve this problem, there is a chance that within a few years cars that run on water could be in every ones carport across the world.
